When a couple tries to have a baby and there is no success after 1 year of unprotected, well-timed sexual intercourse, then this couple is considered as ‘infertile’.

Infertility is not rare. It is estimated that about 1 in every 8 couples trying to conceive faces infertility issues, whether serious or not.

Out of every 100 couples trying to conceive:

          • 20 will conceive in the 1st month
          • 70 will conceive in 6 months
          • 85 will conceive within a year

So, the majority of these couples will conceive naturally within 1 year. However, there is a significant minority that will not conceive even after a longer period of time.
